Communal Resources
At Red Clover Abbey, we believe that everything we have is a gift. So one of our desires is to be generous and share what we’ve been given.
On this page you’ll find links to resources we hope offer encouragement, challenge, rest, and new ways to develop in being humble, honest, and eager in your experience with God, and with others.
As we develop resources, we invite you to be part of the Red Clover community by receiving and reading our email updates. You can sign up for our updates here.
Collecting. Reflecting. Celebrating. | The Fall season, with it’s theme of harvest, presents an opportunity to collect, reflect, and celebrate God’s presence and care. To look back at the past year to remember conversations, experiences, joys, and heartaches that have formed you. To assist with that look back, we've prepared a contemplative walk through the spiritual "seasons" of our living which mirror the actual seasons of winter, spring, summer, and fall. You can find that document here.

Acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus Christ | The Sunday before the beginning of Advent, which also brings to a close the Christian liturgical year, is Christ the King Sunday or The Feast of Christ the King. We’ve prepared a meditation that focuses on Jesus as our King and your response to Him. You can download a copy here.

Being Present to the Presence | Consider using the Advent season to practice and develop a posture of receptivity to God’s involvement in your life. To be present to His presence through the daily use of the Welcome Prayer. View and download a printable document here.

Creator of the Stars of Night: an Advent Journey | These mediations use the verses of the 9th century Latin hymn, "Creator of the Stars of Night" as a foundation for contemplating our greatest need and the light Jesus brought to our darkness. Along with the hymn are scripture and prompts for reflection and prayer. These meditations are intentionally brief but densely packed so that you might sit with them over several days and let the Spirit guide you. You can download a copy here.
The Light is Increasing | Celebrated on January 6, Epiphany is a Christian feast day that is the culmination of the Advent and Christmas season. We’ve created a unique contemplative experience focusing on the theme of illumination, the divinity of Jesus, and the journey of the Magi. You can download a copy here.

The Prayer of St. Francis | During this season of “bright sadness” we offer a set of weekly meditations using a prayer from St. Francis of Assisi. Begin with the Ash Wednesday and then use each weekly meditation to focus your prayers and experience of God as you journey through the six weeks leading up to Resurrection Sunday. In addition to the weekly downloads, you can view and download a printable version of the St. Francis prayer here that includes original artwork by Katrina. Follow her on Instagram.

Meditations | Holy Week is a high point in the Christian Church calendar. Beginning with Palm Sunday and ending with the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, this week commemorates the final days of Jesus’ earthly life as he reaches the height of his Passion. We've developed some simple elements that can be used throughout Holy Week to assist your contemplation of the person of Jesus and your commitment to follow Him. You can download a copy here.

A Meditation on the Gift of the Spirit | Fifty days after Easter is the Feast of Pentecost (Pentecost Sunday), a day to recognize and celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. You are welcome to use this meditation as part of your Pentecost activities, or at any time, to reflect on the work of the Spirit in your experience of God and service to others.
